Our Story
SailorFit emerged from a need we experienced firsthand. While trying to stay strong and fit around irregular schedules, cramped onboard spaces, and long stretches away from a gym, we noticed a common challenge: the lack of accessible, accurate tools for the everyday decisions that come with training at sea, running the numbers on daily calorie needs, and making the most of every workout.
Smart training relies heavily on consistency and a little know-how, which are invaluable. However, a confident sailor also benefits from clear answers about where their BMI and body fat sit, how many calories they need to fuel a day of physical work, what their one-rep max says about their progress, and how much water to drink in the heat and salt air. We saw an opportunity to combine well-researched fitness knowledge with modern tools to help people make confident decisions about every workout.
Our team began developing tools that we wished existed when we first started training for life on the water.
